SANTA BARBARA DOWNTOWN

Goleta, known as “The Good Land” by locals, is located west of Santa Barbara and has a population of approximately 30,000. There is ample opportunity to picnic with friends and family at one of Goleta’s parks, to surf among the locals at the acclaimed Campus Point surf break, or to hike on stunning trails in the surrounding mountains. Miles of bicycle trails make it easy to explore the gorgeous seaside and wooded landscape of Goleta. 

CARPINTERIA

A small oceanside town a few miles south of Santa Barbara and Montecito, Carpinteria is overflowing with charm and tranquility. With a population of just over 13,000, this beachy small town is a favorite of surfers and those who want a relaxed lifestyle. Many residents have lived in Carp, as the locals lovingly call it, for generations. 

THE MESA

The Mesa embodies a beach vibe. The neighborhood has beach access to Mesa Lane Beach, as well as Thousand Steps Beach. It is a very desirable neighborhood due to its proximity to the ocean as well as Santa Barbara City College. Many families take up residency on the Mesa as it is skirted with playgrounds and parks. 

MONTECITO

Just east of Santa Barbara, Montecito is nestled between the azure Pacific Ocean and the picturesque foothills of the Santa Ynez Mountain Range. It boasts some of the most spectacular and expensive real estate in the United States, particularly above East Valley Road, an area with a perfect micro-climate. In fact it is consistently rated one of the wealthiest communities in the United States and is the home to many notable celebrities and stars.

SANTA BARBARA

Situated on a south-facing section of coastline, the longest such section on the West Coast of the United States, Santa Barbara lies between the steeply rising Santa Ynez Mountains and the Pacific Ocean. Dubbed the “American Riviera,” for its Spanish Colonial architecture, balmy Mediterranean climate, and picturesque mountains within close proximity to the ocean, Santa Barbara is a premier resort destination. With over 400 hundred restaurants, a lively downtown, urban wine trail, jaw-dropping hiking trails, watersports, historic harbor, and sparkling beaches, it is no wonder Santa Barbara is a tourist Mecca. 

HOPE RANCH

Hope Ranch is named after Irishman Thomas Hope, who purchased the land in 1861 for sheep ranching. Hope Ranch is now a community of 773 lots encompassing 1,863 acres. It consists of a broad flat mesa and low rolling knolls broken by a magnificent valley and covered with splendid live oaks. 

THE RIVIERA

One of the oldest neighborhoods in the city of Santa Barbara, the Riviera is named for its close resemblance to the Mediterranean coasts of France and Italy, the Riviera bridges the two-mile gap between Sycamore Canyon and Mission Canyon. Most of the topography of the Riviera is relatively steep, making it particularly noteworthy for homes with outstanding views of the City of Santa Barbara, the Pacific Ocean and the Channel Islands.
